Yamaguchi Chisui (Yamaguchi Tomoko) was born August 8, 1924 in Yamanashi Prefecture. She studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Sudō Ikun. She started teaching in 1959 and was a member of the Osaka executive committee of the Yamada-ryū Kun-kai.
