Yamada Shōkoku

A local doctor in Akasaka, Edo, Yamada Shōkoku learned the Ikuta-ryū koto from Hasetomi Kengyō. He was active during the An'ei-Tenmei period (1772-89). His students included Matsukuro Kengyō and Yamada Kengyō. His work includes "Sōkyoku Dai Ishō." 「箏曲大意抄」
