Kikuzome Keiko (Sasaki Fukiko) was born in California, USA on February 12, 1921. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Ōkōtō Kikusō Keishō and received her teaching license in 1938. A performer and teacher with more than 45 years experience, she was head of the Kikuzome-kai and a member of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai.
