Kurosawa Gaei (Kurosawa Eiko) was born January 5, 1947 in Morioka City. Studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Gotō Sumiko and Satō Eiko. She was a graduate of the NHK Seminary and the Seiha Music Academy. She was a member of the group Mugi and Kiriin-kai, and principal of the Kurosawa Koto School.
