Kōno Sachise

Kōno Sachise (Kōno Sachiko) was born in Tokyo, December 8, 1917. She studied Yamada-ryū shamisen and koto under Kameyama Matsumi, Iwasaki Miese, and Nakayama Mitose, earning her teaching license in 1941. An active performer and teacher for more than 50 years, she was affiliated with the Seiga-kai.
