Takayama Fumishibaju

Takayama Fumishibaju (Takayama Shizu) was born in Tochigi Prefecture, May 1, 1917. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Yonekawa Fumiko I, earning her teaching credentials in 1949. An active performer and teacher for more than 40 years, she was affiliated with the Sōchō-kai.
