Sasa Miese (Sasa Takeko) was born in Sendai City, December 19, 1925. She studied Yamada-ryū shamisen and koto under Kinami Michise and Kawashima Sumise, and began her teaching career in 1945. She was a member of the Sendai Sankyoku Kyōkai.
