Harada Kashō (Harada Masako) was born August 27, 1925 in Shimane Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Murase Toshiko and Hamamoto Utami (Chikushi Katsuko lineage) and began teaching in 1961. She belonged to the Chikushi-kai.
