Born October 23, 1915 in Oita Prefecture, Miyabu Yasuko (Miyabu Yuri) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Araya Kieko. She started teaching in 1960 and belonged to the Miyagi-kai and Meigen-kai.
