Yorimoto Kaju (Yorimoto Mihoko) was born October 17, 1936 in Fukui Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Morita Shizuko, Morita Michiko, Okinaka Kakyō, Nagano Nobuhide, and Chikushi Katsuko. She began teaching in 1968. She was head of the Shinju-kai and affiliated with the Chikushi-kai.
