Born April 20, 1932 in Toyama Prefecture, Oshidoi Kenun (Oshidoi Kazuo) studied Goun-ryū shakuhachi under Madō Seiun and Ito Goun (Kouun-kai lineage). Started teaching in 1963. Belonged to the Goun-kai.
