Noda Ryōun (Noda Yoshitaka) was born October 21, 1922 in Kumamoto Prefecture. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Nakamatsu Toyodo and Tsurugi Kyomudō II. He belonged to Wakana-kai and was on their executive committee.
