Kikuoka Yoshibumi (Hori Tatsuko) was born May 3, 1913. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikuhira Kinsei, earning her masters license in 1932. A member of the the Kinburi-kai, she was a performer and teacher for more than 50 years.
