Fujino Shizu was born April 20, 1913 in Shiga Prefecture.
She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miyagi Michio and Banken Yashiko.
She started teaching in 1944.
She was a councillor of the Miyagi Association, and head of Fujino-sha.
