Kibayashi Ginpo
木林 吟保

Born September 1, 1912 in Mie Prefecture, Kibayashi Ginpo (Kibayashi Uichirō) studied Chikho-ryū shakuhachi under Keto Chikurei, Nakanishi Chikuyo, and Sakai Chikuō (Chikuho I). He started teaching in 1934 and was given the rank of Dai-shihan in 1962. During his 40+-year career he was head of the Ueno City Ginyu-kai, and a member of the Seibi-kai and Toyo Ongaku Kyōkai.
