Nakahashi Ryōho (Nakahashi Ryoichi) was born March 4, 1927 in Osaka Prefecture. He studied Chikuho-ryū shakuhachi under Sakai Chikuho I and began teaching in 1959. He was promoted to the rank of Dai Shihan in 1971. He belonged to the Seibi-kai.
