Nonoguchi Kakuho (Nonoguchi Kō) was born April 3, 1929 in Hyōgo Prefecture. He studied Chikuho-ryū shakuhachi under Sakai Chikuō (Chikuho I). He started teaching in 1966. He belonged to the Seibi-kai. He received the 1978 Expo Commemoration Award.
