Hayashida Shunho (Hayashida Shōichi) was born January 1, 1905 in Osaka Prefecture. After being introduced to Chikuho-ryū in 1929, he studied under Sakai Chikuho I and attained the rank of Dai-Shihan. He belonged to the Seibi-kai. His career as a teacher and performer spanned 50 years.
