Born April 6, 1912 in Kyoto Prefecture, Mineuchi Ginshō (Mineuchi Iku) had a remarkable career that spanned more than 50 years. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Hagiwara Seigin, earning her teaching credentials in 1928. She was head of the Ginshō-kai and belonged to the Kyoto Tōdō-kai.
