Kikutana Getsusei

Born in Ōsaka on January 10, 1907, Kikutana Getsusei (Ōtake Kiyoshi) studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikutada Kintetsu. A two-time recipient of the Ōsaka Cultural Festival Award and the Ōsaka Prefectural Governor's Award, he was a member of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai and a director of the Ōsaka Sankyoku Kyōkai.
