Kodama Kaume

Kodama Kaume (Kodama Hatsyo) was born in Hamada City, March 12, 1904. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Chikushi Katsuko and Chikushi Kaneko. She began teaching in 1955. A longtime member of the Chikushi-kai, she spent more than 60 years as a performer and teacher.
