Takahashi Masako (Tadokoro Masako) was born in Tokyo, January 2, 1936. She studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Takahashi Eisei II and Nakanoshima Kin’ichi. A graduate of the Hōgaku Department at the Tokyo University of the Arts, she was a member of the Shōchō-kai and Sōkyoku Shinchō-kai, and served as a council member of the Nihon Sankyoku Kyōkai.
