Tsuda Yoneko (Kamimura Yone) was born in Osaka Prefecture, May 31, 1888. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Hosai Fujino and began teaching in 1905. Active as both a performer and teacher for a remarkable 70 years, she was also head of the Kotonae-kai and director of the Nihon Tōdō Ongaku-kai.
