Naitō Hisayoshi

Born in Tokyo, April 1, 1922, Naitō Hisayoshi (Naitō Seiko) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Makibuchi Hisae. She graduated from the Music Department of the Tokyo School for the Blind and started teaching in 1946. She belonged to the Jigen-kai and was active as a performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
