Nakamura Kiyoi

Born in Hachioji City, September 24, 1901, Nakamura Kiyoi (Nakamura Mitsuko) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Imai Keishō, earning her Shihan (masters license) in 1916. She was head of the Kikko-kai. Active as a teacher and performer for more than 40 years, she received recognition from the Hachioji City Board of Education.
