Hayafuji Fumitei

Born in Tochigi Prefecture, February 8, 1925, Hayafuji Fumitei (Hayafuji Teiko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Fumikawa Fumiko. She started teaching in 1947, and graduated from the 7th class of the NHK Hōgaku Ikusei-kai. She belonged to the Sōchō-kai, was a councillor of the Nihon Sankyoku Kyō-kai, and was active as a performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
