Born February 17, 1899 in Shizuoka Prefecture, Harada Hagiterumi (Harada Ikuko) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Satomi Shōsei and Hagioka Shōin II. She started teaching in 1945 and belonged to the Hagioka-kai.
