Miyazawa Masao

Born August 8, 1918 in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture, Miyazawa Masao studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miyagi Michio and Miyazawa Kayami. He graduated from the Tokyo College of Music and began teaching in 1936. He was a member of the Miyagi Association and Waraku-kai. His career in Hōgaku spanned more than 50 years.
