Murata Sueko

Murata Sueko was born May 5, 1914 in Fukuoka Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miyagi-kai Sōke Miyagi Michio, and Matsuo Keiko. She started teaching in 1939. In a career spanning more than 40 years, she was a Councillor of the Miyagi-kai, head of the Kitakyushu branch, and head of the Sōju-kai.
