Satō Kimiko

Born in 1909, Satō Kimiko studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Kōbe Sue and Satō Masakazu, earning her Shihan (masters license) in 1927. Active as a performer and teacher for more than 50 years, she was president of the Shikun-kai and a director of the Kokufū Ongaku-kai.
