Born September 12, 1931 in Tokyo, Mori Kashō (Mori Shigeko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Kusuda Kashū and Matsushita Karoku (Chikushi Katsuko lineage). She started teaching in 1964. She was a member of the Chikushi-kai and Sumire-kai, and head of the Kashō-kai.
