Born January 2, 1925 in Mie Prefecture, Reimei Haruko (Kanematsu Haruko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Reimei Toshiko and Hiratsuka Yoshio. She started teaching in 1961 and belonged to the Reimei-kai and Kōrei Hōgaku-kai.
