Watanabe Kashō

Watanabe Kashō (Watanabe Asayo) was born June 7, 1933 in Yamaguchi Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Kunishige Kaemi (of the Chikushi Katsuko lineage) and began teaching in 1952. She was in the 5th workshop group of the NHK Hōgaku Skills Development Association. She belonged to the Chikushi-kai.
