Suzuki Seiju (Suzuki Tomekichi) was born in Tokyo, March 4, 1921. He studied Yamada-ryū shamisen and koto under Fukuchi Masue, Takahashi Eisei I, and Nakanoshima Kin'ichi. Active as a teacher for more than 40 years, he was an award-winning performer and composer, the head of the Seichō-kai, and a planning committee member of the Nihon Sankyoku Kyōkai.
