Inoue Kōdō (Inoue Kamejirō) was born July 14, 1903 in Kanagawa Prefecture. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Suzuki Kōdō (Araki Kodō III lineage). He began teaching in 1939 and belonged to the Kōchiku-kai.
