Inoue Bunzan

Inoue Bunzan (Inoue Takao) was born November 28, 1909 in Hiroshima Prefecture. He studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Shiji Rizan and Kanamori Kōzan and became an instructor in 1939. He belonged to the Hokkaido branch of the Tozan-ryū Shakuhachi Gaku-kai and was active in shakuhachi for more than 40 years.
