Ōta Tōfū

Born September 12, 1919 in Hiroshima Prefecture, Ōta Tōfū (Ōta Kiyoto) studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Iura Kifū. He started teaching in 1962. He was Vice-president of the Kitakyushu branch of the Bifū-kai, and general affairs director of the Kokura Sankyoku Kyōkai.
