Born October 2, 1932 in Saitama Prefecture, Kamemura Itsuyō (Kamemura Masao) studied Itsudō-ha Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Ikeda Itsuren and Inamura Itsumei. He started teaching in 1971. He is a member of the Kinko-ryū Itsuren-kai.
