Shikano Gyōfū

Shikano Gyōfū (Shikano Setsumaro) was born October 31, 1913 in Yamaguchi Prefecture. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Horie Shunpū, Matsuoka Seifū, and Satō Seibi and began teaching in 1965. He was a member of the main headquarters of the Bifū-kai.
