Born September 27, 1931 in Kagawa Prefecture, Chiaki Seikei (Chiaki Yoshihiro) studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Satō Seibi. He started teaching in 1965. He belonged to the Bifū-kai headquarters and was the deputy director of the research department.
