Born July 21, 1927 in Tokushima Prefecture, Yoshida Hakushū (Yoshida Mitsuo) studied Muraji-ryū shakuhachi under Ichiba Kyohaku. He started teaching in 1962. He was a member of the Amagasaki Sankyoku Association.
