Born October 1, 1927 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Hirose Keisei (Hirose Kaoru) studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Ōdate Hokusei. He started teaching in 1970. He belongs to Chikuyu-sha and Kanagawa Hokusei-kai.
