Uchida Genpū

Born March 29, 1929 in Fukuoka Prefecture, Uchida Genpū (Uchida Osamu) studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Horie Shunpū and Satō Seibi. He began teaching in 1962. He received the rank of Dai-Shihan (Grand Master) in 1971. He was a member of the Bifū-kai Headquarters.
