Born August 23, 1918. Studied Yamada-ryu koto with the first Fujii Chiyoga, Living National Treasure Koshino Eishō, and Living National Treasure Nakanoshima Kin'ichi. Received masters credentials in 1940. Graduated from Tokyo Conservatory of Japanese Music. Helped establish, with her husband Kishibe Shigeo, Japanese music studies at Washington University. Received an "encouragement grant" from the Tokyo Arts Festival in 1968. Iemoto of Fujii no Kai and director of the Japanese Sankyoku Association.
