Suzuki Kayoko

Born in Tokyo, July 22, 1916, Suzuki Kayoko studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Miyagi Michio. She received the Encouragement Award at the 12th Ministry of Education Arts Festival, and was an inaugural graduate of the Tokyo School of Music's Hōgaku Department. She started teaching in 1939 and was a member of the Miyagi-kai and Mori-no-kai.
