Tatemaru Hisako (Yamazaki Sachiko) was born in Osaka, January 8, 1926. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Tateshige Ichie, earning her masters license in 1940. A member of the Tōdō Hōgaku-kai and the Osaka Sankyoku Kyōkai, she was active as a teacher and performer for more than 40 years.
