Nakasono Eika (Sonobe Tama) was born in Osaka Prefecture, May 11, 1924. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Nakafumi Eikin. She was head of the Takatsuki branch of the Eikin-kai and a councillor of the Osaka Sankyoku Kyōkai.
