Born in Kōbe City, February 4, 1925, Nakahigashii Satoju (Nakahigashi Mashiko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Ueda Chikasatoi. She started teaching in 1971 and belonged to the Kōbe Kensō-kai.
