Born in Tokyo 1926. Graduated from Tokyo School of Music、Musicology Department. Studied abroad at the Monterey Peninsula College (part of the California Community Colleges system). Studied koto with her father, Nakajima Utashito, as well as with Miyagi Michio and Miyagi Kiyoko. Second iemoto of Seiha School in Tokyo.
