Born July 25, 1917, Nakajima Seishō (Nakajima Shizue) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Murooka Shōkō and Sasaki Shōha. She started teaching in 1965 and belonged to the Koshino school. She was active as a teacher and performer for more than 40 years.
